SPD CAD Services completes acquisition of remaining 40% stake, positioning business for next phase of growth in expanding telecom infrastructure sector
Liverpool, 18 February 2026 – SPD CAD Services Ltd, trading as SPD Telecom, has successfully acquired the remaining 40% stake in SPD CAD Services from the original founder shareholders, achieving complete ownership and securing the business’s future growth trajectory.
The acquisition marks the culmination of a multi-year ownership transition that began with an initial partial management buyout. With full ownership now secured, the Liverpool-based telecommunications design consultancy is positioned to capitalise on growing demand for infrastructure services across the UK’s rapidly expanding telecoms sector.
Since its founding in 2009, SPD Telecom has established itself as one of the country’s leading telecommunications design consultancies, delivering specialist CAD design, site surveys, structural analysis and civil engineering services to major industry players including Vodafone, Cornerstone, VMO2, Ericsson, Nokia and EE.
Operating from Brunswick Business Park in Liverpool, the business provides comprehensive support for telecommunications infrastructure projects, from initial site surveys and detailed design drawings through to structural calculations and utilities coordination.
