What do you actually do day-to-day?  I work as a specialist Family Lawyer, assisting clients with all aspects of private Family Law – which includes Cohabitation Agreements, Pre and Post Nuptial Agreements, Cohabitation Disputes, Divorce and Separation, Financial Settlements, Domestic Abuse, and disputes regarding Children. I will meet clients at the outset of their difficulties, obtaining their instructions and advising them; I will advise them throughout the process  – negotiating with the opponent or their representative, instructing experts and referring the client to other professionals if necessary, including Mediators; and representing clients in Court proceedings if necessary. My day is usually spent in meetings, whether that be face to face or by video link; on the phone; or in drafting documents and responding to emails.

Have you ever had a mentor? If so, who?  I was mentored in my early career as a Trainee solicitor by my Training Principal, the late Lynn Osman.

Does money motivate you?  On my client’s behalf, yes!

What has been the most important event in your working life?  Qualifying as a Solicitor and securing Accreditation on the Law Society’s Family Law Accreditation Scheme.

Who do you most admire?  My late Grandfather. A War Hero, sportsman and all round amazing family man.

What does leadership mean to you? Guiding those around you in a reliable and approachable manner.

What’s your favourite TV programme?  Sons of Anarchy.

How do you relax?  Long walks, listening to music.
