What do you actually do day-to-day? 

I have a lot of meetings and I spend  a lot of time speaking to people, whether it be about the culture of the company or leading on a sales and marketing discussion, everyday varies.

Have you ever had a mentor? If so, who?

I wouldn’t say a mentor per se, however, the Velstar board of directors are equipped with a lot of great experience, I would say they guide me, while helping to shape the business’s future.

Does money motivate you? It does in the sense that it allows me to provide the lifestyle I want for my family. 

What has been the most important event in your working life? 

The decision to take the leap and go into business for myself, turning that idea into reality. 

Who do you most admire?

I admire a lot of people for different reasons, whether it’s for their expertise on a subject, or their confidence, I don’t think I could pick one person.

What does leadership mean to you? 

Leadership for me is being open, honest and being able to encourage and inspire others. 

What’s your favourite TV programme? 

The Sopranos without a doubt, I went on the set tour in New Jersey, it was amazing! 

How do you relax? 

Dinner, drinks and just chilling out with my family and friends.

Favourite piece of music?

Jungleland by Bruce Springsteen 

Flannels or Florence & Fred? 

I don’t really shop anywhere other than Zara, but if I had to pick, I’d say Flannels. 

Birkdale or Birkenhead?

Birkenhead – I don’t think I’ve been to Birkdale.
