Steve joins the leading UK firm, as a director, qualified accountant and licensed Insolvency Practitioner (IP), with over 25 years’ experience in restructuring and corporate recovery.
Leonard Curtis is a multi-disciplinary professional services company with 29 offices across the UK and offshore and employs over 300 people.
It complements its core restructuring and turnaround skillset with funding, legal, executive recruitment and other services in distress and non-distress markets.
Steve is a well-respected practitioner, having started his career working for one of the major UK banks where he was employed for 11 years, mostly in the credit risk team.
He has extensive experience of advising directors and companies on restructuring options across a variety of sectors including construction, manufacturing, hospitality, property and transport.
He will join a fast-growing team in Liverpool headed by director Donna Crompton. She commented: “We are delighted to welcome Steve to the team here. He is a proven operator with a large network of contacts and a passion for the profession. He is also very familiar with the challenges facing sectors like property and construction where we do a lot of work. He will bring great energy and a positive mind-set. We are excited to get him on board.”
Steve Muncaster added: “I relish the opportunity to join Leonard Curtis at an exciting time for the business and I look forward to providing straight-talking solutions in collaboration with new colleagues in both Liverpool and Manchester to move companies forward with purpose. I can’t wait to get started.”
CEO Dan Booth said Steve’s appointment demonstrated the company’s commitment to attracting senior restructuring and insolvency talent to support growth:
He said: “It is a measure of our progress that we can bring someone of Steve’s calibre and experience into the organisation at this time. He will play a key role in meeting the needs of our clients in the region and delivering on our ambitions as a Group in the next few years.”
