LIVERPOOL ART FAIR 2025: 200 LOCAL ARTISTS TAKE OVER THE ROYAL LIVER BUILDING

Liverpool’s popular art fair returns to the Royal Liver Building this summer, showcasing regional creativity

Liverpool Art Fair is set to return to the Royal Liver Building from 11th July to 25th August 2025, celebrating its 11th year of championing affordable, accessible art from across the region.

This year’s fair will showcase the work of almost 200 selected artists, continuing the event’s strong track record of connecting local creators with art lovers. Building on over a decade of success since launching in 2012 (with a pause during the COVID pandemic), Liverpool Art Fair has now welcomed more than 60,000 art lovers and showcased the work of nearly 2,500 artists.

Expert Selection Panel Chooses Artists from Over 350 Submissions

The fair’s lineup was selected by an expert panel combining fresh perspectives with returning expertise. Joe Brooks, Executive Director of Audiences and Media at National Museums Liverpool, brings over 25 years of museums and heritage experience, having led creative teams behind NML’s exhibitions and public programmes. Joining him is artist Claire Weetman, whose 20+ years of practice spans drawings, prints, installations and public interventions, with exhibitions at The Bluecoat and Castlefield Gallery.

Returning to the panel are Sarah Lovell, Lead Officer for Culture at Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, who strategically manages the implementation of the Culture & Creative Strategy, and sculptor Faith Bebbington, who has worked from her Liverpool studio since 1993 creating dynamic public sculptures from recycled materials.

Together, this panel had the task of selecting from over 350 submissions, ensuring the fair represents the best of regional artistic talent.

A Platform for Every Artist, Art for Every Budget

The 2025 fair continues its mission to break down barriers between artists and art buyers, featuring work from emerging and established creators living within a 35-mile radius of Liverpool. True to its founding philosophy, every piece remains accessibly priced between £20 and £2,000, with a dedicated section for works under £200.

For the first time, the fair will be open seven days a week from 11am to 5pm, making it easier than ever for art enthusiasts to discover their next treasured piece.

Creative Workshops Throughout the Summer

Alongside the exhibition, Liverpool Art Fair will host a series of creative workshops throughout the summer, led by Cass Art. These hands-on sessions will provide visitors with the opportunity to explore different artistic techniques and materials. Workshop details and booking information will be available on the website soon.

Supporting Creative Careers

Organised by dot-art, the Liverpool-based art organisation with 19 years of experience supporting visual artists, Liverpool Art Fair continues to champion art as an integral part of everyday life. Beyond the exhibition, the fair serves as a crucial platform for artists to connect with new buyers, develop their careers, and become part of a thriving creative community.

“We’re pleased to be celebrating our 11th year with a strong selection of almost 200 artists,” says Lucy Byrne, Managing Director of dot-art. “The quality and diversity of work continues to showcase the incredible talent in our region.”

Location and Legacy

The Royal Liver Building provides a prominent waterfront location for the celebration of local creativity, drawing visitors from across the region and beyond. The venue complements the fair’s mission to showcase local art and connect it with new audiences. As Liverpool Art Fair celebrates its 11th year, it stands as testament to the city’s thriving creative scene and the power of making art accessible to all.
