An invite for Professional Liverpool Members

An invite for Professional Liverpool Members

In November 2021, Liverpool launched the Good Food Plan around a vision of ‘Good Food for All’. Driven forward through a cross-sector partnership including our local authority, health services, universities, voluntary and faith sector, local businesses and communities, the city’s progress is recognised nationally, most recently through a Sustainable Food Places Bronze award. We have created movement and, as our latest Good Food Plan Impact Report shows, have made good progress. But there is much to be done to tackle some of today’s greatest social challenges, from food poverty and diet-related ill-health to the climate emergency and the renewal of the local high street.

Feeding Liverpool and Dr Ruth Hussey OBE, High Sheriff of Merseyside are hosting an informal evening for city leaders to consider how we grow this movement. We would like to invite members of Professional Liverpool to join us on Thursday 29th February, 5pm- 7pm for a ‘Good Food for All’ evening at:

LUSH exhibition space (Third Floor)
38 – 46 Church Street
Liverpool
L1 3AW

The evening will include opportunities to hear about the progress of the Good Food Plan and the work of Feeding Liverpool, alongside a private viewing of the Good Food; Our Food photo story exhibition which shares powerful stories of what good food means to cultural communities across Liverpool. We will use these discussions to consider what needs to happen next, and what role you might play.

We are particularly interested in engaging members who have a role in food supply, procurement and local economic development.

If you are able to join us, please RSVP to Antonia Parry by Thursday 22nd February antonia@feedingliverpool.org. Drinks and canapés will be provided, please include any dietary requirements in your response.
