DSG HAILS STRONG FIRST HALF OF 2026 AS DEMAND FOR CORPORATE FINANCE SUPPORT GROWS

DSG has seen continued demand for support with transactions, succession planning, growth and financial management.

DSG has reported a strong first half of 2026 as demand for corporate finance support grows. With a focus on owner-managed businesses within the mid-market, we have seen continued demand for support with transactions, succession planning, growth and financial management, all of which has driven growth across multiple service lines.

Our bespoke VFO service has also continued to grow. Building on momentum from 2025, DSG’s bespoke virtual finance office (VFO) service has continued to grow. We onboarded a significant number of new clients over the last year, with growth in fees rising 25% to £400,000.

Across our corporate finance and tax practices, the business has completed 16 transactional projects so far in 2026 with a combined value nearing £100m.

The strong start follows a successful 2025, when DSG completed more than 20 transactions with a combined value exceeding £200m, advising on M&A, financial due diligence, employee ownership trust transactions, demergers, MBOs and succession planning projects.

This growth, alongside the successful completion of DSG’s management buyout in 2024, has created a strong platform for further investment and expansion in 2026/27.

Andrew Moss, partner at DSG, said: “It’s been a strong start to the year, with activity across both transaction and succession planning work ensuring that we’re building on the strong momentum from 2025. Business owners continue to seek advice, and we’re seeing a healthy pipeline of opportunities as a result.

“Our focus remains on providing our clients with certainty in markets that are becoming increasingly volatile, combining our deep local knowledge with global reach to ensure businesses can make the right decisions in pivotal moments.”

Mark Kearsley, partner at DSG, added: “The demand we’re seeing reflects a growing need for joined-up financial advice and a partner that will be with businesses throughout their journey. The growth of our Virtual Finance Office service has been particularly encouraging and reflects a significant shift in what businesses are looking for from their advisers.”
