Name: Zoe Gibbard
Company: Professional Liverpool
Position: Administrations Assistant
What do you actually do day-to-day?
I am an administrations assistant. So far, I have been updating news/events on the website, and the newsletter- but much more to come.
What experiences or influences guided you toward your current profession?
Back in sixth form I was more of a creatively oriented person, but marketing stood out to me at university. There was a balance between creativity but also communications, both of which I enjoy. I then applied to the Liverpool Interns programme, leading me to PL.
What’s the best advice you have ever received?
‘You will become what you think about’. This quote has always stuck with me to stay optimistic.
What does leadership mean to you?
Confidence, honesty, and understanding. Three traits I value very highly in a leader.
What has been your favourite Professional Liverpool event and why? / If you are a new member, which event are you most looking forward to attending and why?
I am looking forward to attending my first event with PL on the 28th of May. Afternoon tea on the Daffodil. I am thrilled to meet our members for the first time, and it will be my first time on the Daffodil, which is exciting.
What’s your favourite TV programme?
Breaking Bad. It is just a classic. People kept telling me to watch it, but I didn’t believe it was actually as good as that.
How do you relax?
When I’m not doing my hobbies, you’ll find me either watching Netflix, at the pub with friends, or taking long walks with music. I love music by the way, I think I had around 80,000 minutes listened to last year on Spotify.
Which do you prefer: sweets or chocolate? And what’s your favourite?
Chocolate. This is a hard choice for a self-proclaimed snack-o-holic, but Lindt truffles are my favourite.
Pub or club?
Pub 100%. No explanation needed.
Do you have any hobbies?
I want to learn anything and everything, but I would say painting, hiking, and bouldering are my current favourites. However, I can’t say I am a master yet at any of them.
Go to karaoke song?
Murder on the Dancefloor- Sophie Ellis Bextor. Many people have told me I am her look-a-like, so of course I had to lean into it.
Favourite venue in Liverpool?
Black Cat in town (although the chair leg once broke on me which was the only bad thing).
