A leading property consultancy has made a promotion in Liverpool as part of its continued expansion and development in its people, amid heightened demand for planning and infrastructure advice driven by changes in government policy.

Marcus Vernon has been made Senior Client Accountant by Fisher German LLP at its office in Tithebarn Street.

He has been with Fisher German for nearly five years, working within the client accounting team alongside colleagues including Rachel Wharton, Ann Williams, Paul Jolley, Rebecca Rouse, and Mary Dowding.

His role involves providing a client accounting service to Fisher German’s clients within commercial property management from the North West to the South of England.

This includes monthly accounts and VAT reporting, keeping the accounting system up-to-date and ensuring postings are made correctly alongside regular contact with clients, tenants, and property managers.

He said: “I’m very happy with the promotion, it’s a good feeling to know your work is valued and recognised.

“I now want to see where I can add value going forward within Fisher German after becoming ACCA qualified. I’ll be undergoing a mentoring process with a colleague who I hope will be able to guide me in the right direction regarding my career path and next steps at the firm.

“Fisher German has been very supportive. They funded my ACCA qualification and provided study and exam leave during my studies, which enabled me to devote enough time to study and pass each exam on the first try.

“I’d highly recommend Fisher German to anyone considering joining, as from my experience I have been supported fully from day one. If you’re ambitious, there are clear pathways to progress, so I’d definitely recommend it.”

Fisher German has made 50 promotions across all areas of the business, after a summer that has seen housebuilding, energy and devolution all thrust further up the political agenda, resulting in many companies needing informed advice from trusted consultants.

The promotions have been made across many levels and specialisms, reflecting Fisher German’s commitment to career growth.

Its Managing Partner Andrew Bridge, who first joined Fisher German as a graduate, said: “With the shifting needs of our clients thanks to government policy changes and evolving markets, it has been great to see so many of our colleagues step up to the challenge.

“We have always rewarded those at Fisher German who perform well, and it is heartening to be making 50 promotions as we head into the final quarter of the year.

“I’d like to congratulate all those who have been promoted – all are thoroughly deserving of their success.”

Phil Winckles, Partner and Chair of Fisher German’s Appointments Committee, added: “It is always enjoyable seeing so many colleagues progress through the business.

“Everyone who moves up within Fisher German has earned the right to do so thanks to their hard work, consistently high performance, and desire to deliver for their clients and colleagues.

“These promotions highlight the fantastic work our people do every day, and I am incredibly proud to play just a small part in that process.”
