Purpose-led independent law firm Brabners has appointed Chris King to its commercial litigation team as it continues to grow its support for mid-to-large corporates.
Based in Brabners’ newly refurbished Liverpool office at Exchange Flags, Chris joins from DWF, where he spent more than two decades advising on high-value, business-critical disputes. He brings extensive experience in commercial litigation, including matters relating to private equity investments, share sales, business acquisitions, shareholder disputes and commercial fraud. Chris’ expertise spans a range of sectors, including technology, media and telecoms (TMT), manufacturing and retail, enhancing Brabners’ ability to support national and international clients.
Joining one of the largest and most experienced litigation teams in the UK, he will play a key role in helping Brabners’ clients – including leading businesses, brands and multinational corporates – to develop proactive risk management strategies as well as defending claims through litigation, mediation and arbitration.
Recognised as a tier one practice by the Legal 500 and in The Times Best Law Firms 2025, Brabners’ litigation team specialises in both commercial and personal dispute resolution. In recent years it has secured a series of high-profile outcomes, including a landmark Supreme Court malicious falsehood case; a nine-figure settlement for the Commonwealth Games Federation relating to Australia’s withdrawal from hosting the 2026 Games and Coleen Rooney’s successful defence in the widely reported Wagatha Christie trial.
