Member: Royal Liverpool Philharmonic

Liverpool Philharmonic is one of the UK’s most forward-looking music organisations.

As well as the world class Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the programme of classical music activity includes the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir, the Chamber Music Series and the contemporary group Ensemble 10/10.

The extremely active Learning department has been working with schools and the community through its orchestral programme since the 1940. The Liverpool Philharmonic offers a range of inspirational opportunities to get involved in live music-making of the highest quality for thousands of people every year, and learning events for all ages from 3 years to adults.

Uniquely, it also runs a venue; the Grade II listed Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. We promote a wide range of contemporary rock, pop, folk, roots, jazz and blues concerts and music projects, in addition to festivals and comedy. Built in the 1930s, the 1,790 seat Art Deco concert hall also regularly transforms into a cinema. A smaller space upstairs, the Rodewald Suite, provides a cabaret style venue.
