LHCH Charity is the charity that supports the outstanding Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital – the largest single site centre for the treatment of complex heart and lung problems in the country. Although our catchment area covers the Northwest, the Isle of Man and North Wales, some 2.5 million people – we are also a nationally recognised centre with patients visiting from across the UK.

For example, did you know that we are the only hospital in the country to undertake robotic heart and lung surgery, or the only hospital in the Europe to have specialist equipment to significantly reduce the likelihood of strokes during long and complex operations. We are also a regional centre for the care of people with Cystic Fibrosis, have the most successful lung cancer surgical record in the UK and care for the thousands of young people in the Northwest who have grown up with congenital heart disease.
