Weightmans Wednesday is back due to popular demand and will be hosting its first post-COVID event on 8 May 2024.

We are delighted to be hosting Matt Cairns of Caldy Rugby Club.

Matt is the current head coach at Caldy Rugby Club, however, his success on the pitch started long before his career in coaching, as a player himself. The former rugby union player had a distinguished playing career which included spells for Saracens, Sale Sharks and Harlequins and he had the ultimate honour of representing his country at the highest level, when he was capped for England in 2007. More recently in a coaching capacity, Cairns has overseen a club record 28 game unbeaten run and led Caldy to the highest level in the club’s history when they beat their title rivals Sale FC, to win National League 1 and gain promotion to the RFU Championship in April 2022.

Matt has also developed a successful post-playing career in financial services as an advisor with PFP Wealth and is a director of his successful family-run business, Mammy Jamias, which produces award winning premium fruit preserves.

We will be hosting a Q&A with Matt to hear about his successful playing & coaching career to date, plus the journey Caldy Rugby Club has been on and its exciting plans for the future.

Please reserve your place now by responding to this email to confirm your attendance and forward the invitation onto your friends & contacts.
