LLN: In conversation with Angela Samata and Hazel Russell

As you may know, September is World Suicide Awareness Month. We have teamed up with Angela Samata and Hazel Russell to bring you an extra special one off event where we will hear from both of these amazing women about their experience with suicide.

Many of you will already be aware of Angela as she has kindly spoken at one of our previous events and Hazel is the head of fundraising at PAPYRUS, a national charity for the prevention of young suicide.

Both of these extraordinary women did not set out to have a career in suicide prevention and we will hear all about their journeys (tissues at the ready!). They will be covering lots of mental health topics which are particularly relevant right now as we all come to terms with the prospect of yet another lockdown. They will also be sharing their top tips on how to avoid burn out despite being immersed in such difficult conversations on a daily basis.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions, do some networking in our famous Zoom Rooms and also get advice on suicide if you or someone you know is affected by mental health issues.

We are not charging a fee for this event, but there will be an optional donation which will go to support the brilliant work being done at PAPYRUS and also our nominated charity, The Hive Youth Zone.

We hope to see you there.

Best wishes,

Lindsey, Jayne & Natalie
