Liverpool City Council has given the green light to consult with the public on a new vision to transform Liverpool’s historic commercial district into a “world class business location."
About the Draft Plan:
Starts: Monday 17th June
Ends: Monday 22nd July
Liverpool City Council is consulting on a draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) designed to create a vibrant and sustainable commercial office district in Liverpool that will drive business growth, attract inward investment and create jobs.
The plan also highlights new development opportunities and explores ways to connect the district to other parts of the city, and revitalise underused buildings in the area.
Once agreed, the plan will supplement the city's emerging overarching Local Plan.

Following this consultation exercise, all comments will be fully considered and, where appropriate, the SRF/SPD will be amended. The final document and all comments will then be reported to Cabinet for endorsement in late summer 2019.
Following the adoption of the Local Plan, the SRF will be formally adopted as a Supplementary Planning Document and will be considered when planning applications are made.
