Background -
After university, did articles with a firm in Southport then joined Bermans in 1974 as a commercial litigator doing a lot of work for banks and insolvency practioners as well as general corporate clients. Became Finance Partner in the 1990s, then managing partner before converting Bermans to LLP status and chairing the Board. Retired from practice in April 2010 after a 3 year consultancy period.
Interests -
Sport, member of Royal Liverpool Golf Club, travel, music, ornithology and wine.

Rainman and Thelma and Louise - I like to be entertained not thought provoked.
Favourite music -
Very catholic taste from Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin through to The Beatles and all the way to Mozart, Wagner and Beethoven.
Favourite books -
Crime and Punishment and well written biographies of interesting people, currently reading Isambard Kingdom Brunel – what a man!
