What do you actually do day-to-day? I construct & manage investment portfolios for individuals, trusts, charities, and other corporate structures. My role involves conducting regular investment reviews to ensure that the portfolios align with our clients’ objectives and risk tolerances. Personalising each portfolio to the tailored, unique needs and expectations of our clients, rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all model.

Have you ever had a mentor? If so, who? It is difficult to name one as I have been fortunate to work under some great people during my career, notably Simon Walker at Quilter Cheviot, Neil Turner at Blankstone Sington and now Nigel and the Team – all of whom I have been able to learn from and lean on through my career.

Does money motivate you?  To the extent that is allows make memories and experience things with friends and family but helping clients achieve their goals and in certain cases, tick things off their bucket list provides much more motivation.

What has been the most important event in your working life? I think signing up my first client, individually and securing that first key relationship helped provide the validation for future career progression.

What does leadership mean to you? Acknowledging your own shortfalls and bringing in people around you to plug the skill gap.
