What do you actually do day-to-day? 
I help obtain planning consents for public and private clients on projects ranging from single houses to multi-million pound regeneration schemes.

What experiences or influences guided you toward your current profession? Travelling. Visiting different locations and experiencing varied cultures and lifestyles sparked my interest in the built environment to help influence / improve places back home.

What’s the best advice you have ever received?
Do the simple things well, consistently.

What does leadership mean to you?
Setting direction and empowering people to deliver – serving the team, not the title.

What has been your favourite Professional Liverpool event and why? / If you are a new member, which event are you most looking forward to attending and why? 
Last year’s Building Liverpool City Region’s Future panel discussion, organised by PL’s Charity and Development + Regeneration Sector Groups. It was a great example of two PL sectors coming together to discuss issues that genuinely matter to members.

What’s your favourite TV programme? 
That’s a harder decision that choosing a favourite child…

But as I never get bored of The Office — both the UK and US versions, it’s got to be those.

How do you relax?  Whisky, music and the occasional doom-scroll.

Which do you prefer: sweets or chocolate? And what’s your favourite?  Chocolate, Tony’s Chocolonely!

Pub or club? Pub – The older the better, with at least one dog in it.

Do you have any hobbies?  Collecting original Beatles records, building Lego (and pretending it’s for my kids)

Go to karaoke song?  Bohemian Rhapsody

Favourite venue in Liverpool?  O2 Academy — the perfect size for a music venue, and where I went to my first gig. I’ve been lucky enough to see so many great performances there, including Paul McCartney.
