What do you actually do day-to-day? My best to support people to have the life they want. Why? “This life is more than just a read through” #redhotchillipeppers

Have you ever had a mentor? If so, who?I’ve had a few from different area’s of life John Evans was a colleague when I was a transport and production manager and he taught and guided me so well.

Does money motivate you? Not on its own no. but it’s bloody important as we live in a capitalist world. We all give up our time, knowledge and expertise for cash so we best make sure were doing something we love and hopefully makes a difference to others.

What has been the most important event in your working life? Tough one as there’s been a few big ones. Been sacked twice! Made redundant twice! But I’d say applying for the transport and production managers job when I was forty bored and fed up was the best thing I ever did personally.

Who do you most admire? Anyone who has a go, especially if then lack a bit of belief but they have a go anyway. Brilliant them people tbf!

What does leadership mean to you? Self-leadership is about doing the best you can with what you’ve got over and over again. Leading others is about building others up to be the best they can be to achieve a common purpose.

What’s your favourite TV programme? Tough one but Ted Lasso would be up there, with Life On Mars and Ashes to Ashes close behind.

How do you relax? Silence. Whadda ya mean I don’t believe you Dave?! Look, I know I can be a bit chatty but I love my own company and anything I can do in silence and solitude is good for me.

Fry up or healthy smoothie? Mmmmm… mood dependant and you didn’t get many good veggie fry ups! But I’d have the fry up as long as its tasty.

Pub or club? Pub first with a fine selection of IPA’s then off to belt out some karaoke then a club. Why can’t we have it all?

Gym or countryside walk? Countryside Walk every day of the week.

Favourite piece of music? “Heal Over” Katie Tunstall. Sums up life’s journey perfectly

Flannels or Florence & Fred? I’ve no idea what any of these things are. Am I too old?

Birkdale or Birkenhead? You Messin!
