Clare Brookfield

Professional Liverpool.

Head of Engagement.

What do you actually do day-to-day?

Working in a small team means that you do a bit of everything. My main focus is meeting new and existing members and looking to develop member-led events for the coming year.

Have you ever had a mentor? If so, who?

Not officially but Sarah Robinson from Ludlow has been a great support through my career.

Does money motivate you?

Money helps, but a thank you can mean just as much.

What has been the most important event in your working life?

I attended an LFC Foundation and Alder Hey event: Gary Barlow was the entertainment and made it a night I would never forget. Being a Business ambassador for Alder Hey and working closely with LFC Foundation made this event something extra special.

Who do you most admire?

Seems apt at the moment but as a massive red it’s Jurgen Klopp. Someone who came into a struggling team with his own philosophy and instilled that into a team that has gone on to reap the rewards.

What does leadership mean to you?

For me it’s leading by example. In a small team we all have to pull together and need strong leaders to get our goals achieved.

What’s your favourite TV programme?

Schitt’s Creek.

How do you relax?

Date night with my boyfriend.

Fry up or healthy smoothie?

Fry up.

Pub or club?

Pub with football on.

Gym or countryside walk?

Favourite piece of music?

Meatloaf – I’d Do Anything For Love.

Flannels or Florence & Fred?

Neither – I’m an M&S girl.

Birkdale or Birkenhead?

Birkdale but don’t tell my Birkenhead boyfriend!
