EY Liverpool has celebrated its move to new offices, which will provide a modern workspace with more areas for in-person collaboration, supporting the firm’s transition to hybrid working.

To mark the official opening of the new offices, EY Liverpool hosted a panel event in partnership with us at Professional Liverpool, discussing the role of employers in enabling and sharing ‘good business’ practice across Liverpool City Region.

Steve Rotheram, Mayor of the Liverpool City Region attended the panel event.

He said: “When the world started to return to new ways of working following the pandemic, I said that I didn’t want our region to return to the old ways of ‘business as usual’. It was an opportunity for employers to build on the positives from that period; flexible working, a greater sense of community, and more time spent on our wellbeing.

“Success in business isn’t just about profit – it’s about the opportunities we create for people, and how we help them to fulfil their potential. That’s why it’s great to see companies, like EY investing in these fantastic new offices, and adopting the values and better practices that we expect of employers in our city region. The more businesses that join us on that journey, the faster we can achieve our ambition to become the fairest, most equal and, above all, best place in the country to work or run a business in.”

The new office space, located within Clockwise: Edward Pavilion on Albert Dock, a Grade I listed building, maintains the firm’s location in the heart of Liverpool. EY’s office is located across one private wing within the building and features a range of workstations, team areas and informal seating which are designed to maximise opportunities for collaboration and networking.

Last year, EY confirmed that it is transitioning to a hybrid working model in the UK, enabling individuals to split their time between the office, client sites, or working from home. This builds on the firm’s long-standing culture of flexible working, which had been in place for many years prior to the pandemic. Offices will become increasingly important for collaboration, teaming, innovation and wellbeing.

Jenn Hazlehurst, Office Managing Partner at EY in Liverpool, said: “I am delighted that we have moved into our new offices on Albert Dock, enabling our people to work in a modern space which enhances in-person collaborative working, with a variety of workstations including hot desks, private meeting rooms and team areas.

“This is a very exciting time for EY Liverpool, as we continue to invest in our Liverpool business. We have also invested in top talent with the promotion of two Associate Partners over the last year and through our graduate, apprenticeship and Smart Futures programmes.”
