On behalf of LFC Foundation, we are delighted to present the findings from their second annual social impact report, which independently measures, evaluates and validates the work they deliver in underserved communities both at home and abroad.

As a charity it’s important to have an evidence-based understanding of the outcomes of work and have the opportunity to discover its monetary value and health benefits. This year feels special as they celebrate two decades of the LFC Foundation, and the report allows them to reflect and really take stock of how far they have come.

The goal is to provide long-term change for young people, families, and communities by reducing the negative impacts they face with high levels of deprivation, and ensure the work has a lasting impact and benefits future generations across our region and beyond.

Some of the key findings from the 2022 report include the fact that in the last 12 months alone they supported over 83,000 people, with almost two thirds coming from the most deprived areas of the UK. The LFC Foundation also directly delivered £8m into the local economy and contributed nearly £25 million in health benefits.

The hours of programme activity are up from 66,000 the previous year to more than 348,000 - and they have an overall annual social value of £80m, which means that for every £1 spent we create a social return of £16.

For The LFC Foundation this report is just the beginning, and this work will be on-going to ensure that they continue to grow and develop new ways to engage with participants and partners, and achieve their ambition to be the leading Foundation in the sector.

We are keen that supporters of Liverpool FC are aware of their work and are as proud of the impact it is having as we are.
