We’re currently recruiting 30 young people the PLACED Environmental Academy, a FREE youth-led programme of activities and events about the built environment for young people currently in Years 9 – 12 who live in the Liverpool City Region (Liverpool, St Helens, Wirral, Sefton, Halton, Knowsley). The closing date is Monday 10th May.
The PLACED Academy is designed to tackle the barriers that young people face in accessing careers including careers such as architecture, planning, urban design and project management. It seeks to support greater diversity in the sector, develop participants skills and increase confidence.
Our fourth Academy programme has the environment at its heart. Participants will explore issues in their local area, research, plan and deliver a community engagement campaign, before taking on design challenges that encourage them to use their creative thinking skills to come up with ways we can build better, more sustainable places.
