Professional Liverpool announce search for new CEO at AGM

The news is out, Professional Liverpool are looking for a new Chief Executive Officer!

John Hall will be stepping down from the role in March 2020. The announcement, made at this year’s Annual General Meeting, follows nine years of dedicated service to Professional Liverpool and its member base. The successful candidate as his successor will continue John's work, leading the growth and development of the membership to deliver the organisation's objectives.

The AGM was held in the impressive Council Chamber of Liverpool Town Hall, one of Liverpool’s finest examples of Georgian architecture. Attendees voted for Barclays’ Julie Campbell to join the Professional Liverpool board, replacing Griffiths & Armour’s David Varey, who is stepping down after 6 years of service.

The Members’ Lunch, hosted upstairs in the Main Ballroom, had over 220 members of the Liverpool business community in attendance dining in style. The use of these two venues was by kind permission of the Right Worshipful Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Councillor Anna Rothery, who welcomed attendees to the lunch.

In 2020, Professional Liverpool will be continuing to offer members high quality events across a broad spectrum including the Region of the Future series and Chester Races. Tickets are also now on sale for the professional networking lunch of the year: the Cannes Do. For the first time ever, the Cannes Do will be hosted in another of Liverpool’s magnificent listed buildings, St George’s Hall. Professional Liverpool are excited to have the opportunity to use such a fabulous venue in the heart of the city. Places at this event are sure to sell out so early applications are recommended.
