The Everyman & Playhouse Theatres confirmed today that Interim CEO Fiona Gibson will be joining Capital Theatres Edinburgh as CEO in April 2020 at the end of her contract in Liverpool.
Fiona Gibson said, “I have been so privileged to work with such a wonderful Board and Team at the Everyman and Playhouse in an interim capacity to help rebuild and refocus the organisation for long term resilience and success. Together they are a beautiful institution, loved and cherished by the people of Liverpool and beyond, and I am proud to have contributed just a little bit to assuring its next exciting chapter”.
Interim Chair Andrea Nixon said, “Fiona has made an outstanding contribution to the Everyman and Playhouse during a period of reorganisation and renewal and on behalf of the Board I would like to offer our wholehearted thanks for her leadership during this time. We fully understand that Fiona is looking for new challenges at the end of her time in Liverpool and are very grateful that she will be staying for the full duration of her contract”.
Liverpool and Merseyside Theatres Trust will be recruiting for a permanent CEO for the Everyman and Playhouse as part of its planned process of recruitment during winter 2019/20.
