Welcome to the Royal Institution
Inaugurated by William Roscoe in November 1817, the Royal Institution was created for the “Promotion of, Literature Science and the Arts”. It became the intellectual and artistic heart of the city. It became a hub, a meeting point, for scientists, artists, doctors, architects, and many more.
200 years later, we pay homage to this noble cause. Membership of the Royal Institution is for those who value wisdom and connection, and appreciate excellent drinks and hospitality.
Set in the historical building of the same name, the Royal Institution is intended to be a third space for our members. A place to connect or disconnect; to escape from work and embrace life, or vice versa.
