Mott MacDonald is an employee-owned, uniquely diverse, engineering, management, and development consultancy serving the public and private sector around the world.

We’re a global company with a local presence – we operate through 180 principal offices in nearly 50 countries, giving us local market insight and resources on the ground to support every customer.

Working across multiple sectors including buildings, transport, power, water, environment, health, education, industry and communications, international development, urban development and oil & gas.

We work with our customers to plan, design, procure and deliver projects on any scale; provide management consultancy built on technical know-how, shape and implement development policies and programmes; and advance sustainability. Our portfolio ranges from small projects worth thousands of pounds to the world’s largest multidisciplinary, multi-billion pound programmes.

We provide added value solutions which save money and time, reduce risks – technical, commercial, social and environmental, drive up efficiency and maximise sustainable outcomes.

Truly multidisciplinary, we offer: planning, studies and design, infrastructure finance and technical advisory services, project and programme management, management consultancy, strategic asset management, forensic engineering and expert witness.

Aligning sustainability, value and commercial success is important to us as every decision has economic, environmental and social consequences, some immediately apparent and others taking years to manifest. We work with our clients and partners to make sure those consequences are positive, yielding sustainable benefits. We’ve led the industry in demonstrating how sustainability aligns with the goals of achieving more for less and more with less, using it to realise added value for money when conventional performance and cost drivers have been exhausted.

We pioneered new project delivery technologies such as Building Information Modelling (BIM). We were among the first in the industry to adopt BIM and make it our preferred means of delivering building and infrastructure projects. We continue to advance use of BIM for planning and design, and also for cost modelling, construction, asset operation and maintenance – yielding cost and time savings from project inception to delivery, improved safety, reduced carbon emissions and better performance in use.
