DESCRIPTION:Evertonians are renowned as the beating heart of Everton Footba
 ll Club\, and now Everton in the Community is offering supporters and loca
 l residents the chance to get their heart checked as part of its commitmen
 t to empowering its communities towards better health.\n\nEverton’s offi
 cial charity is offering free heart health checks to anybody over the age 
 of 40 to help identify suspected cardiovascular conditions and enable peop
 le to receive earlier diagnosis and treatment.\n\nIn partnership with Pump
 ing Marvellous\, the UK’s leading heart failure charity\, the screening 
 event will take place on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 July between 10am un
 til 2pm. Those wishing to attend can head to the Park End reception where 
 they’ll be greeted on arrival.\n\nNo sign-up is required\; attendees can
  just turn up on the day\, however\, please note that queues are likely.\n
 \nEveryone who comes along to get screened will be entered into a prize dr
 aw to win one of the following prizes*:\n\nStadium Tour for two people.\n\
 nMatch ticket for the first home game of the 24/24 season.\n\n24/25 adult 
 home shirt.\n\nWhen attendees arrive\, they’ll be asked to fill in a sim
 ple questionnaire before a simple non-invasive blood pressure and heart rh
 ythm check. Further investigations can be carried out on the day if requir
 ed.\n\nThe event is free and welcomes anybody over the age of 40 to get te
 sted\, particularly if they’re experiencing feelings of breathlessness\,
  exhaustion or have ankle swelling.\n\nHeart failure impacts over one mill
 ion people and in Merseyside\, the cases are higher than the national aver
 age. Heart failure is treatable\, and if detected earlier\, people may hav
 e better outcomes.\n\nPlease note that prizes cannot be exchanged or redee
 med for cash value.
