Speakers:

  • Professor Jo Meehan, Professor of Responsible Procurement and Director of the Centre for Sustainable Business at the University of Liverpool Management School. Jo’s research centres on modern slavery in supply chains, social value in public procurement, and corporate power. Her work explores the commercial practices that allow social inequalities and environmental harm to persist, and crucially, what might be done to enable systemic change. Her work has won numerous international awards and she has been described in the business press as “one of the UK’s most influential procurement academics”. Jo is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management and she leads on the journal’s ’business-not-as-usual’ research.
  • Chris Dawson, After spending over 25 years in the sales arena, Chris Dawson has held nearly every role; from door to door canvassing through to national sales management and training for top 100 companies. Now, through his organisation ‘6th Door’, Chris designs and delivers tailored sales training and coaching programmes to businesses across the world that are serious about developing their salespeople. From his renowned workshop ‘Cold Call Like a Boss’ through to individually designed sales academies and bespoke training programmes, his straight talking, enthusiastic and experience led approach to sales training is laser targeted at getting the outcome all businesses want – more sales! Chris also teaches at multiple Universities across the UK, co-hosts The Sales Dojo Podcast and is globally recognised for his dedication to enhancing the reputation of the sales profession.
