National ‘Coming Out’ Day – Friday 11 October 2019

Coming out - whether it is as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or an ally - STILL MATTERS. When people know someone who is LGBTQ+, they are far more likely to support equality. Beyond that, our stories can be powerful to each other.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of National ‘Coming Out’ Day and so the Liverpool LGBT+ Professional Network wants to celebrate all who have come out as LGBTQ+ or as a straight ally for equality – that takes bravery and we commend every person who speaks up as doing so helps to change more hearts and minds, and creates new advocates for equality.

For the time being, mark national ‘Coming Out’ Day (Friday 11 October) in your diary and plan to celebrate by ‘coming out’ for a drink (or two) with the Liverpool LGBT+ Professional Network – more details will be released in due course.
