Join Liverpool’s very own Queen this Christmas

Christmas is coming early to Liverpool’s historic Queen Avenue as it hosts its first-ever festive market.

The evening event on Thursday 13 December will feature a range of pop-up stalls from the independent businesses that line the picturesque Victorian arcade, alongside a variety of guest local traders.

An eclectic mix of goods will be on offer, including fine wines and spirits, original local artwork and bespoke tailoring, while shoppers can also enjoy live music, beauty treatments, artisan pizza and gourmet coffee.

dot-art Gallery, which has been based in Queen Avenue since 2008, is also hosting demonstrations of wood carving and monoprinting at the event, to give a taster of the types of creative courses they run in venues across the city.

Queen Avenue spans between Castle Street and Dale Street and is Liverpool’s last remaining Victoria arcade. It is part of Queen Insurance Buildings, owned by property company Bruntwood.

Kelly McNair, communities manager at Bruntwood, said: “Queen Avenue is a beautiful location which will look even more resplendent with twinkling fairy lights and the buzz of late night shoppers enjoying a wide assortment of independent traders.

“There is a strong sense of community among the businesses here, who have all come together to make this event happen, and it should make for a really special occasion.”
