GRADE: MODERATE (LOW-LEVEL ASCENT)
Welcome to Freshwalks, bringing North West business people together through the simplicity of walking and talking in association with Professional Liverpool. After our successful walks along the Sefton Coastal Path and over to Hilbre Island, this time we are heading out to Cheshire for a walk around Delamere Forest on Friday 30 November.
Our plan is to reinvigorate both body and soul, allowing participants to make new contacts, to share personal and business challenges and gain some fresh perspective. All within a magnificent setting that will allow clear thinking and new ideas to flourish.
Walkers coming from the Merseyside area should take the 09:15 train from Liverpool Central, changing at Chester to arrive at Mouldsworth at 10:13. (Return fare: £12.40)
Walkers coming from the Greater Manchester area should take the 08:41 train to arrive at Mouldsworth at 09:58. (Return fare: £15.20)
If you wish to drive please aim to arrive at Mouldsworth station in good time making allowance for traffic and parking. We intend to start the walk from the train station at 10:15.
We expect to arrive back in Mouldsworth between 15:00 and 15:30 where we will head to The Goshawk pub for a few drinks and a bite to eat. Full information will be sent out in the week prior to the walk.
FAQs
What should I wear? You will need to wear comfortable walking shoes, bring along some waterproofs and a couple of layers to cater for unpredictable weather conditions. A spare pair of socks is also quite useful.
I'm a little unfit, should I come along? This is a mainly flat route aside from a small scent of Old Pale but at around 10 miles distance you will still need to have some level of fitness. If you haven't done any form of exercise recently, this might be an initial step too far and we'd recommend at least some distance walking as preparation. Our schedule does allow for a number of 'breather' stops so plenty of time for catching up and to keep the group together.
