In ever denser cities, the space for green infrastructure such as parks and squares is slowly being depleted. What is often considered as “green architectural decoration” is however, an important aspect of our built environment, bringing a significant improvement to the wellbeing of residents, workers and visitors in our cities.
With imagination, we can transform our cities with vertical farms, bio-reactive façades and city gardens. The methods of ‘enveloping’ a building in green are numerous, productive and practical.
You are invited to our Green Building Envelope event, where you can hear about the research findings from Tom Armour, one of the authors of the report, which include, reducing urban stress, mitigating noise, cooling down cities and decreasing energy consumption.
