Networking Lunch: Post Budget View and Implications

A look back at the budget

The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Philip Hammond, will deliver his first Spring Budget on 8th March 2017. This will also be the last one before budget announcements move to the autumn and we move to a timetable of just one major fiscal announcement each year in the UK. By making less frequent changes to the tax system, the intention is that it should help to promote certainty and stability.

Join Professional Liverpool and Tilney to hear from Ann-Marie Atkins, Managing Partner for Financial Planning in the North West and Ben Seager-Scott, Director of Investment Strategy and Research, both at Tilney, about the post budget view. Read more about the speakers here

Ben will comment on what the budget tells us about the outlook for the UK economy. He will also talk through the current economic environment both domestically and globally and present some of Tilney’s main investment themes. Ann-Marie will focus on the main personal taxation issues to arise from the budget and whether there are any steps that you should be considering to optimise your own personal finances.

The event, which will be held at the offices of Tilney, will start with an informal lunch and a chance for networking at 12.30pm with the presentation at 1pm and will conclude by 2.00pm. This event is open to all Professional Liverpool members free of charge. Non-members will be charged £20 plus VAT.
